My daughter Chloe and I went to one of the local metro parks to hike and get some fresh air. We have had unseasonably warm weather for February and we had to take advantage of this gift! We went to Sharon Woods Metro Park. The weather was quite a bit nicer than yesterday when we tried to hike. Yesterday it was in the 30s, windy, and hail snowing!
Chloe and I hiked the all-purpose trail, which is 3.8 miles and circles the whole park. We were fortunate enough to see 6 deer! You can see them in the slideshow. That was an incredible experience to see the deer that close to the trail, and have them staring back at us.
It was quite nice to see so many people out on the trails, and enjoying the parks for a chilly February day. It is always encouraging to see like minded people getting some exercise and fresh air, and enjoying nature. If you are ever around Columbus and looking for a park to check out, Sharon Woods is in Westerville, and quite nice.
Have you ever been here? What did you think?
Here are the photos from our hike. Enjoy!
